Things to do in Istanbul!

Istanbul is the only city in the world that has two different continents, it is huge. You will fall in love with it the moment you step out of the airport, which in my case was Istanbul Atatürk Airport.

There are thousands of hotels and other tourist-oriented industries in the city, catering to both vacationers and visiting professionals. The city is alive day & night so you can expect heavy traffic and a busy airport.

If this is your first visit then you will need to know where to go and have a plan already, i stayed at the Alkoclar Keban 4 stars hotel, it’s exactly a min away from the main Taksim Square and nearby almost everything you might need from Metros to other attractions.

The hotel was a great start for my vacation from staff to cleanliness and location, totally recommended!

I’ll list down some of the activities/attractions you should not miss in your visit to this fascinating city.

• Taksim square, Isteqlal Avenue (only a minute from the hotel, packed with restaurants, cafes, stores, nightclubs and busy on weekends).
• Blue Mosque,  Hagia Sophia & Topkapi palace (near Sultanahmet area, entry fee is 30TL about 15 US Dollars, book your ticket online or at the hotel to avoid staying in line for hours).
• Eminönü District (Eminönü has many historical mosques and buildings such as the mentioned above plus Grand Bazaar, Spice Bazaar and The new mosque).
• Bosphorus Ferry Cruise Tour (probably the most overlooked Istanbul tourist attraction).
• Istanbul’s Street Food (Kestane, Corn, Oysters, Kumpir Potato, Simit, Shawerma & surely the Turkish sweets almost in every shop).
• Istanbul’s Night Life (Isteqlal Avenue is filled with your average nightclubs such as Lupe, Olympics, Indigo which i did not really enjoy other than that you will find 360, Riddim & Reina to be just great).

 That was a quick guide that i thought might help some of you to explore the city, there is way more than that in Istanbul, trust me this city will leave you speechless!

National Aviation Services just released their official mobile application on both iOS & Andoid, just look for NAS airports and you will find it in the store.

The app brings real time flight information, allows you to book an airport lounge or the meet and assist service or even check on your lost luggage and much more.

Other than that, you can complete your check-in or select your seat on your flight, plus you will receive local and global travel and duty free promotions.

The idea of  how they are trying to put everything in one place is excellent, the app still needs some improvements in design and updates in different sections though.

Sensation will make it’s debut in Dubai this fall!

The news is now already a month old but i just found out about it, Sensation is an indoor electronic dance music event which originated in the Netherlands. The original event, which ran exclusively in the Amsterdam ArenA for a period of five years until 2005, will now debut in Dubai and to be outdoor for the first time!

Mark your calenders and dress up all in white on Friday the 31st of October 2014. This will be the very first outdoor Sensation event in history, it will also be the the first time the event is held in the Middle East.

صور لبطلة لبنان جاكي شمعون في روسيا تثير جدلا واسعا

أثارت المتزلجة اللبنانية جاكي شمعون، التي تمثل بلادها في الألعاب الرياضية الشتوية في مدينة سوتشي الروسية، بلبلة في الوسط الرياضي اللبناني، بعد أن انتشرت صور ومقاطع فيديو تظهرها وهي تتعرى في جلسة تصوير علنية.

وأوضحت جاكي في بيان لها، أن هذه الصور لم تؤخذ في سوتشي حيث تمثل لبنان في الأولمبياد الشتوي، بل كانت ضمن جلسة تصوير خاصة بمجلة رياضية نمساوية كانت تحضر لرزنامة تضم عدة رياضيين من عدة بلدان. وأوضحت أن هذه الصور أخذت منذ ثلاث سنوات.

وأعربت عن حزنها لانتشار الصور الآن، والضجة التي أثارتها، مؤكدة أن الصور النهائية لجلسة التصوير مختلفة تماماً عما يتداول حالياً. واعتذرت جاكي لمواطنيها، مقرة أن “لبنان بلد محافظ، وهذه ليست الصورة التي تعكس ثقافتنا. أتفهم تماماً إذا ما رغبتم في توجيه الانتقادات”

ولكن بالطبع كعادة الشعب اللبناني المنقسم بالاراء فقد بدأ بعض الشباب والشابات بتشجيع البطلة بإطلاق هاشتاق تحت مسمى #Stripforjackie ولاقت الكثير من الاستحسان من البعض.

Update 4.3 for Galaxy S4 Will Roll Out in October

For those who have been waiting patiently for a new update for their S4 or S3, including myself, the update will start rolling out in mid-October.

Android 4.3 will bring several new features for Galaxy S4 to Galaxy S3 and Note 2, while making Galaxy Gear (Watch) compatible with the three devices. Some of the noteworthy features include OpenGL 3.0 support, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, always-on Wi-Fi location reporting even if Wi-Fi is off, support for more languages and performance improvements.

Italian Football Legend Del Piero in Kuwait

Alessandro Del Piero arrived to Kuwait this morning to participate in the Al-Roudan Tournament that will be held at Da’iya Area in Al-Roudan Hall, Friday 26th of July at 3:00PM.

Spain High-speed Train Crash Caught on Tape

A Spanish train that hurtled off the rails and smashed into a security wall as it rounded a bend was going so fast that carriages tumbled off the tracks, killing 80 people and maiming dozens more, according to eyewitness accounts and video footage obtained Thursday.

Security cameras caught this video when just before seconds of the train crash.

تعرضت الفنانة اللبنانية هيفاء وهبي لمقلب عند مشاركتها ببرنامج رمضاني يقدمه الفنان المصري رامز جلال “عنخ أمون”، حيث واجهت الفنانة الثعابين والخفافيش والمومياء في مقبرة فرعونية قديمة حيث قامت الفنانة اللبنانية بتوجيه السباب بألفاظ نابية للفنان رامز جلال أكثر من مرة فور انتهاء المقلب واكتشاف أنها وقعت ضحية لمقالب رامز, ويقال  أن هيفاء لم توافق على عرض الحلقة الا بعد مضاعفة أجرها ثلاث مرات

كانت الألفاظ النابية التي أطلقتها واضحة من خلال تركيز الكاميرا على مخارج الألفاظ، علماً أن الحلقة حظيت بنسبة مشاهدة مرتفعة عبر مواقع التحميل الالكتروني التي طرحت الحلقة بشكل سريع فور انتهائه.
